In short form:

*In many ways Anthony and I are doing breakups wrong. But not in a bad way.
*Tattoo on Saturday. I still haven't gotten the drawings from the artist so I am a little nervous. But not that nervous. Must remember to shave legs tonight.
*Had the best present idea for Anthony. Bought it on my lunch break yesterday. Buying part one (the part I already knew about) probably this week.
*We're planning our first "real christmas" ever complete with opening presents in the morning and a somewhat proper dinner (chicken instead of turkey). See what I mean about doing breakups wrong?
*I'm not moving out of here. I'm staying till the lease ends. Then I'm moving. Anthony's still moving out though.
*I am really appreciating this weather lately. Feels like spring. And it's not cold. And there's no snow.
*I have been doing the whole wash-with-baking-soda on my hair thing for six months now and I am definitely never going back. It's cheaper, nicer and hey! No sulphates! I definitely never ended up with the "miraculous results" that others claim, but it is less greasy, doesn't need to be washed as often and is easier to make do what I want it to. The only drawback I think is that I am increasingly vulnerable to static electricity making my hair do fluffy things.

I had a really really intense dream about having a baby. When I woke up I cried because the dream was so happy and I highly doubt it will ever happen.
At least it's better than equally intense dreams about owning cell phones?

Going to look at a place on Saturday. This one's on the North Shore. We'll see.

Oh yeah. READING POST
Mostly to say that Never let me go is a giant pile of "meh" wrapped in "blah". A reasonably interesting premise written in boring as hell prose. This is sad because I actually really liked Remains of the day and had hopes for other stuff of his.
Oh well.
Next up is making sure I don't hit 30 before I read Lolita which so far has much gooder writing than Ishiguro does.

I didn't get the place.
Oh well.
Since it's rather hard to get a place while dragging a cat about I am tempted to make an ad for myself either for someone to pick me for their place or to meet me and go together on a place.

Meanwhile, I make sock animals at sock animal making parties.

Answered a roommate wanted ad today. I want it.
Teal-green living room with a big window, pink and purple kitchen of a very nice size. A really nice sized bedroom with a closet. Working fireplace. Hands-off landlords who wouldn't give a shit if I dug up the backyard and made a small garden. A quirky and just-as-awkward-as-me person already living there. Who wants people who bring pets.
There was another prospective person there at the same time as me who brought incentive in the form of the cutest puppy ever. Only she also seemed about 18 and had brought her mother along too. The mother was the one who asked all the questions while the girl just sort of drifted about the place. I'm hoping that counts against them.
I love the location near Victoria and 6th and although it sucks to be leaving North Van, I really do like the area.
I'll know by the end of the weekend.
